What is the Make It Happen Founders Workshop?
Happening on November 12th, 2024, the Make It Happen Founders Workshop will provide you the essential tools to help you start your business and apply entrepreneurial skills in a real-world setting.

- This is a free event.
At the workshop, you’ll receive practical support on the following topics:
- Embracing the entrepreneurial mindset: Understanding the importance of adaptability, resilience, and innovation.
- Setting your vision: the importance of having a clear vision to guide business growth.
- Understanding the customer problem: and crafting compelling value propositions using the Value Proposition Canvas
- Build your product/service roadmap using the Business Model Canvas/Lean Canvas; conduct competitive analysis, design a customer profile, and size your market.
Day 2 of the workshop – December 11:
- Setting Up Your Business: Understand the steps to legally establish your business, including different legal structures and essential operations.
- Building your support network
- Funding your journey
Who Can Attend?
This workshop is open to all current University of Aberdeen students (UG, PGT, PGR) and recent graduates from the last two years.
Who Will Run the Sessions?
The sessions will be led by the experienced ABVentures team at the University of Aberdeen, in collaboration with Converge. These diverse, seasoned entrepreneurs bring valuable insights from their own ventures and are now driving the university’s innovation efforts.
